La scorsa settimana Horizon Hobby ha annunciato l’acquisizione di Pro-Line. Insieme a questa acquisizione, la società con sede a Champaign, Illinois, ha rilevato anche la PROTOform. Fondata nel 1991, PROTOform Race Bodies ha conquistato numerosi titoli di campione del mondo IFMAR e innumerevoli titoli di campionati nazionali, regionali e locali. Nel 1995, PROTOform ha compiuto una mossa strategica unendo le forze con Pro-Line Racing per espandere la propria portata di marketing e soddisfare la crescente domanda di carrozzerie. Con la recente acquisizione di Pro-Line Racing da parte di Horizon Hobby, PROTOform Race Bodies si unisce alla gamma di marchi Horizon Hobby. Di seguito il comunicato ufficiale:
“It was a very exciting and productive 25 years that we spent under the Pro-Line ownership,” said Dale Epp, PROTOform Founder, and Lead Designer. “PROTOform race bodies became synonymous with winning and leading-edge design. We were a part of 26 IFMAR World Championships on-road race victories as well as every other major EFRA, ROAR, and Reedy title that there was, while at the same time being the brand of choice for those who wanted to win a concourse trophy. Now PROTOform enters its third chapter under the Horizon Hobby umbrella, and we’re excited about the future as we go forward with Horizon. PROTOform Race Bodies will continue to operate out of their California facility. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.”
